When I was 7 I started flying kites on the beach. At age 9 I started surfing and when I saw that the two of my favorite sports where getting combined, I was hooked from day one. I was 11 when I kitesurfed for the first time.

I love kiteboarding, surfing and any sport that has water involved. The kiteboarding virus hit me when I was 11 years old and I thought it would only last a couple of years. But now I know it will never go away. It gives me such a great feeling of freedom and I’m really lucky that I can travel the world doing what I love to do. I became freestyle world champion in 2009 and won the King of the Air in 2014, 2018 and 2019. Competing is really in my blood and I love it but I’m also in the quest for the perfect wave, wind and place to ride that make me have the biggest smile on my face.
